Day 1: Arrive Auckland (D)
On arrival in Auckland you will see the sights of Auckland on a city tour. This evening meet your Tour Director for a welcome reception and ‘highlight
dinner’ at The Langham. Your personal degustation is prepared for you from the freshest, quality ingredients, including mouth-watering seafood
and delicious desserts.
Day 2: Auckland - Rotorua (BD)
Travel to the Waitomo Caves to see the incredible Glow Worm Grotto on a boat tour with a local guide. This evening ‘you’re invited’ to experience the
traditional world of Maori in a 200 year old Tawa setting. Share the Powhiri, an ancient ceremony of welcome. Enter the Meeting House and witness
a powerful and entertaining cultural performance. This is followed by a Maori Hangi dinner accompanied by local wine, and a concert at the Tamaki
Day 3: Rotorua Sightseeing (B)
A Maori local guide will accompany you around the Whakarewarewa Living Thermal Village, where you’ll gain an insight into Maori culture. See New Zealand’s
biggest geyser, bubbling mud pools and thermal springs. Your next stop is Rainbow Springs Nature Park for a tour with a local expert. You may even
spot a kiwi! Then visit the Agrodome Sheep Show, the multi-award-winning stage show, for a taste of farm life.
Day 4: Rotorua - Queenstown (flights not included) (B)
This morning you will fly to Queenstown. On arrival explore the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown on the Arrow River, before an orientation
tour of Queenstown and surrounds. See Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkables Mountain Range and the home of the Bungy Jump at Kawarau Bridge.
Day 5: Queenstown at Leisure (B)
A free day to do as you choose. Why not take a day trip to mystical Milford Sound? You will travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau and
its lake then through the rainforest of World Heritage Fiordland National Park, sighting glaciers and mountain ranges. Travel through the hand-hewn
Homer Tunnel to abundant photo opportunities afforded by the Mirror Lake, Pop’s Lookout, Cleddau Valley and the Chasm, en route to Milford Sound
to board your cruise for an unforgettable experience.
Day 6: Queenstown - Melbourne (flights not included) (B)
Today you’ll fly to Melbourne, Australia. This afternoon join your Australian Tour Director on a city sights tour including a private walk through
Melbourne’s famous hidden laneways. You’ll discover the city’s eclectic little lanes, arcades, café society and fascinating shops. Your sightseeing
concludes in Lygon St, Melbourne’s ‘Little Italy’, where you’re free to enjoy local cuisine at the restaurant of your choice.
Day 7: Melbourne at Leisure (B)
Spend the day as you wish. Why not take an Optional Experience to the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island or perhaps a trip along the spectacular Great
Day 8: Melbourne - Cairns (flight not included) (B)
This morning you’ll be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Cairns, Queensland. On arrival visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park,
a celebration of the living history of the Indigenous people of the rainforest. Discover the medicinal values of bush tucker and enjoy professional
theatre incorporating traditional Aboriginal dance, fire making and storytelling. Join an Indigenous guide for a fun introduction to Aboriginal
art and see how Aboriginal culture is expressed in their artwork. Complete your own boomerang dot painting, which you can take home as a souvenir
of your experience.
Day 9: Great Barrier Reef (BL)
Visit the Cairns Wildlife Dome. See crocodiles, koalas, wallabies, possums and other native animals. Later, board a high speed catamaran and cruise
out to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy an informative reef presentation with a local expert. See a myriad of coral and tropical fish from the underwater
observatory and the semi-submersible craft. There is the opportunity to go snorkelling and view this natural living wonder up close (equipment
provided). Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before you return to Cairns.
Day 10: Cairns - Sydney (BD)
This morning you’ll fly to Sydney. On arrival there’s time to relax at your hotel or explore this exciting city before boarding a Captain Cook Sunset
Dinner Cruise. Enjoy a contemporary two course à la carte meal and the mesmerising views of Sydney at night. You’ll pass magnificent waterfront
homes, beaches and parklands and all the main harbour attractions including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Day 11: Sydney Sightseeing (BL)
Prepare yourself this morning for the spectacular views on the cliff-top coastal walk from Tamarama Beach. The walk features stunning vistas, beaches,
parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. Your destination is famous Bondi Beach for an iconic Australian experience. You’ll be greeted by a local surf
lifesaver before lunch at an Aussie institution, the Returned Servicemen’s Club, with its views over the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Your host will
take you on an exclusive tour through Australia’s oldest surf lifesaving club where you’ll learn about the history of Bondi and surf lifesaving.
Later, return to the city to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens and see panoramic harbour views from Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. Top off this highlight
day on a tour of the iconic Sydney Opera House with a local guide.
Day 12: Sydney at Leisure (BD)
Spend a free day in this exciting city. Why not take an Optional Experience to the famous Blue Mountains and see some of Australia’s native wildlife
at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Or you could visit the Hunter Valley, New South Wales’ premier wine-growing region. Gather together this evening
with your Tour Director and new-found friends for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant by the water.
Day 13: Depart Sydney (B)
It’s time to bid you farewell as we transfer you to Sydney Airport for your onward flight.
